You’ve seen the line-up and I think you’ll agree that the big name stuff is pretty darn exciting. But we’ve also got a whole host of things for you to enjoy and take part in which you might not have noticed yet. Together they add that little bit of festival magic.
We’ll have some sessions just for men – think drums and fire-eaters. And there will be a strand about what it means to be woman – Brazilians and Botox or hearth and home? We’ll also be hosting the first Solas Festival Fashion Show – showcasing clothes which you’ve upcycled yourself onsite with our friends from Eco-Chic Boutique.
Indepen-dance – an inclusive, dance development company, have lined up a special performance of their piece Submerge. They will also be teaching us how to get our bodies moving like never before.
Crack open your guitar case, dust off your fiddle, pinch a pair of spoons from the cafe if you have to. Or perhaps you tell a darned good yarn. If Open Mic is your thing, this is your chance to step into the spotlight!
