Coming by car
From Dundee or Edinburgh:
Follow signs for Glasgow / Stirling / Crianlarich which leads you onto the Perth bypass. Head west on the A85 signed to Crieff / Crianlarich to West Huntingtower.
Turn left at the cross roads to Madderty / Tibbermore. The entrance to the Bield at Blackruthven is on your left after half a mile and is marked by Stone Pillars and iron gates.
Got a car with some spare seats? Need a lift? Match yourselves up using Liftshare.
It’s easy to get to Solas Festival by public transport as we are just 4 miles from Perth train station.
From the train station it’s a short walk across the road to the bus station where you can either get the hourly Stage Coach Bus Service 15 from Perth to Crieff. The 15 stops at West Huntingtower, which is just a 10 minute walk from the Bield.
Or, if you’ve got a little more to carry, Docherty’s run Bus Service 155 a few times a day on Friday, Saturday, and Monday and will drop you at the gates of the camp site if you let them know you’re going to the Bield.
Alternatively a Taxi from Perth Railway Station to The Bield at Blackruthven should cost roughly £10 depending on traffic.
